As a cross-sectoral social partner CEEP is speaking at the European level for individual enterprises, associations of enterprises and employers working in the public services sector. CEEP believes that modern public services serve the fundamental goals of the EU, its Member States and its regions: stronger social and territorial cohesion, economic and social solidarity and a better quality of life of its citizens. Public Services, or Services of General Interest, play a key role in the integration of the EU States into a common economic area and in the enlargement of the EU.

CEEP represents public services employers. CEEP brings their involvement which represents an important part of the business in EU. CEEP members contribute to a high level of quality of life at work in EU in promoting a good health at work. This involvement serves the EU ambition and strategy related to employment, quality of the workplace, and health at work. It is also a way to demonstrate the commitment of CEEP members to respect EU regulation and to be proactive in this H&S field. On a more practical aspect, CEEP can also share the practices implemented by its members through the OSHA network and focal points.
